about the julstro muscular therapy process

Julstro Muscular Therapy is a blending of numerous deep-muscle massage techniques, combined with extensive medical research that has proven muscle spasms would refer pain and numbness to areas that are far from the actual source of the pain. All of this knowledge comes together into a unique form of therapy that can be done by a therapist, or taught to a person as a self-treatment.

When experiencing pain, many people find that various healthcare professionals focus their attention on the site of the symptoms, but they ignore the source of the problem. This causes a common misdiagnosis of symptoms -- preventing proper treatment and causing the person to live a life on multiple drugs, treatments, or surgery, that at best won't help, and at worst will cause side-effects that can be crippling or even life-threatening.

Muscles are the only focus at Julstro Muscular Therapy Center. Specifically, how muscles impact the joints and nerves of the body. A simple way of explaining the muscular cause of pain is an analogy that Julie uses all the time: If you pull your hair, your head hurts. But you don't need to massage your scalp, take heavy medications for the headache, or have brain surgery to eliminate the pain - you just need to let go of your hair!

It is the same with muscles. A muscle originates on one bone, crosses over a joint, and inserts on another bone (usually at the joint). When the muscle is shortened by repetitive strain, or because of a trauma that caused the muscle to contract, it is pulling on the joint, and it causes a strain on the joint. Also, muscles cross over nerves, or the nerves go directly through the muscles so when the muscle is tight it impinges on the nerve and can affect the impulses to the muscles or organs that are served by that nerve.

Since 1989, Julie has been teaching people, both therapists and clients who come to her center, or virtual clients who find Julie online, how to find the source of pain and then treat the spasms to release muscle tension. The word "Julstro" simply means "Julie's Stroke," and Julie has shown how easy it is to stop pain, even pain that is attributed to conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, low back pain, fibromyalgia, and a long list of other problems.
